Drawing from the Wells of Mysticism:
An Ignatian Retreat led by Stephen Hoyland
Sunday 14th – Friday 19th September 2025
A retreat to help us find ways of being in our busy world. During the course of the week we will focus on 4 significant figures:
Ignatius of Loyola, who helps us to go more deeply into prayer and seek encounter with God
Julian of Norwich, a mystic for our troubled times who encourages utter trust in the goodness of God
Teresa of Avila, a mystic who helps us to pray when prayer is dry
Francis of Assisi, who helps us to connect with creation
We will close by returning to Ignatius and his encouragement to find God in all things and live as contemplatives in action.
This is a preached retreat in the Ignatian tradition, including daily individual spiritual direction and guided prayer.
The retreat will begin formally on Monday at 9.30 a.m. and finish after lunch on Friday.
