The Quiet Revival
Friday 18th July, 7.30 - 9.15 p.m. led by David Shirtliff, Warden of Thie dy Vea
Recent research commissioned by the Bible Society has produced some unexpected results. There's evidence of dramatic church growth in England and Wales over the last 7 years, up by 50%. One in five Gen-Z men now claim to attend church at least monthly. There is an increased openness to Christianity, and a shift in the intellectual climate.
Stories are emerging of people encountering God through dreams, of people queuing to get into church, of a massive increase in adult baptisms in France, growth in the United States.
It's been dubbed 'the Quiet Revival'.
We want to give the opportunity to explore the research and the stories, and to think about our own context here on the Isle of Man. The evening will include a time of worship and prayer for revival.
So do join us. We'll provide you with a copy of the Bible Society's report, plus drinks and cake. We invite a donation of £10 to cover our costs.
Please contact us to reserve a place using the form below.
