Miriam’s Sisters, Deborah’s daughters: a fresh approach to church leadership through times of change
A day led by Rev Liz Crumlish
Saturday 18th October, 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
Are you interested in how we lead church? Then this day is for you.
If you pick up a book on church leadership it’s likely that it was written by a man and focusses on formulae and strategy. Liz Crumlish comes at the issue from a different starting point, drawing on her recent book Miriam's Sisters, Deborah's daughters: when women lead the way
Join her as she explores different leadership styles that bring imagination and creativity to the task, inspired by the stories of numerous women in the Bible such as Esther, Ruth, Mary the mother of Jesus and the woman at the well. A day of realistic, sustaining and encouraging insights for all involved in church leadership.
Liz is a priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church, a tutor in reflective practice, pastoral supervisor and educator at the Scottish Episcopal Institute. She has contributed to volumes published by Wild Goose and Saint Andrew Press and regularly teaches and leads retreats for the Methodist Church UK, and various Church of England dioceses.
Refreshments will be served from 9.30 a.m. ready for a 10.00 a.m. start.
The day includes a buffet lunch.
Cost, to include lunch and all refreshments, £25
