Marvellous Mystical Tour:
A Day Retreat led by Stephen Hoyland
Tuesday 16th September, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
A day retreat to help us find ways of being in our busy world. During the day we will take inspiration from a number of significant figures:
Ignatius of Loyola, who helps us to go more deeply into prayer and seek encounter with God
Julian of Norwich, a mystic for our troubled times who encourages utter trust in the goodness of God
Teresa of Avila, a mystic who helps us to pray when prayer is dry
Francis of Assisi, who helps us to connect with creation
Stephen Hoyland has been a teacher, a chaplain and is now a spiritual director working with the Jesuits. He leads retreats in university chaplaincies and for people in daily life. He also leads weeks of guided prayer in a variety of settings. He guest directs at St Beuno’s and is a Trainer.
Refreshments will be served from 9.30 a.m. ready for a 10.00 a.m. start.
The day includes a buffet lunch.
